Tiger Presser..OMG!

For those of you following the Tiger Woods soap opera..I'm sure you're aware of the 11:00a ET press conference scheduled for tomorrow (02/19).  My suggestion to you..IGNORE IT.  Don't watch..don't record it..no Tivo..no DVRing.  It may be five minutes of the most hyped press conference ever.  For starters..it's not a press conference..its going to be a statement from Tiger.  He's hand picked the people attending.  He will not take questions.  Might as well be cardboard cut outs of reporters. So basically its a 5 minute.."I feel so bad for me..coz I got caught.  Coz, the real truth came out about me..and it cost me my family."  You won't get those same words..but if you read between the lines..you'll get them.  I'm betting the same message could be conveyed on his web site.

In no way does this presser allow him to own up and apologize to all involved.  I'm not talking about apologizing to me.  His apologies should be to his family, closest friends, corporate sponsors, die-hard fans who have supported him and the products he endorse.  I could give a rat's ass.  I'm pretty sure I'll miss the presser..if only forgetting about it.

If anything, Tiger has shown how he has manipulated people along his way to success.  Stabbing his loved ones in the back during the process.  This is malignant narcissism at its finest.

If you have five minutes on your hands tomorrow..call someone who you care about just to say you  care..play with your doggie..load the dishwasher..take out the garbage..fold those clothes that are still in the clothes basket..if you're a male 40 or over, exercise your protaste (refer to previous blog).  Just do something a slight bit productive..

To the Golfing Community regarding your God..

The one you proclaimed as your Golf Messiah..turns out to be a blaspheme liar.  The one who spoke in distorted truths..has made "Doubting Thomas" want some proof.  Tiger Wood's is no God..just a clever man's charade.

Peace out my HALEYUNNS!

  1. I was trying to think of something clever to say, but you know, it's just sad. Sad that he did this. Sad he thought he could get away with it. And REALLY sad that the media cared enough about this to make sure that we all now know how many mistresses he was sex-ting.

But what is most sad is that the American public is so all-consumed with celebrity-mania that there is a market for them to cover this sort of thing. As you said, people need to get a life, do something useful and stop watching the train wreck Tiger has made of his life.

I do hope somewhere in all of this Tiger learns to appreciate the blessings he has and that he grows up and starts being a loving husband and father.

  2. I am in total agreement! I don't want, nor do I need an apology from Tiger Woods. It should be to his family, and those he has hurt along the way! Fame and money can be a deadly combination, if you let it go to your head. We all know that Tiger is a pure example of what can happen when you have too much.

  3. Tammie thinks:I was angry when I heard he called a press conference i could give a care less that he is a billionaire who has everything and cannot manage his life, who is adored and worshipped like he is something special and he is a whore monger who got caught. Too many pressing issues in the world to give him the podium to say his fake apologies!Dang Kevin now i'm fired up!!!!

  4. With my morning coffee I got to hear again about the press conference scheduled for today. With that I chose to walk away from the TV, and grab my trusty laptop..looking for a more pleasant diversion. Low and beyond, yet more commentary surrounding Tiger.
So, here's my 2 cents, for what its worth. I hold no anger, disdain, or disapproval for Tiger. He is a man that has fallen from grace. We worship celebrities, make them gods, kiss the friggin ground they walk on. Is it their fault or our own when they let us down; when they prove to be nothing more than humans who have a way of destroying their lives just like everyone else. Do I think he needs to do a press conference, no...do I think it will do more harm than good, probably. What will he benefit from it, nothing.
How many times have we worshipped people only to be let down by their uglier sides. As far as extramarital affairs...we can go on and on with a list of our hero's that have traveled the same seeded path. Give it a few years, and we will forgive and they will be the hero's again. It's the nature of our society.
Don't even get me started on the media...I think we are all in agreement that their ability to saturate us with stories simply for the sensationalism of it all, is nauseating. Octomom, John and Kate plus 8..9. 10 whatever...Brangelina..and whether Brad and Jen are sneaking behind the back of Brad's latest AFFAIR. The media are the spawn.
**I for one happen to be an Angelina's fan, just for the record**
